I do not have that machine, but have some experience with serial cable connections. An $8. tester (Google: "DB-25 Male to Female RS-232 Mini-Tester with 18 Pin Assignment LEDs") will identify which line is active while you are digitizing. If the receive light (RD) flashes while you are sending, use a crossover. If transmit (TD) flashes, use straight thru. You can upgrade to the $20. breakout box and try it out before you buy the cable.
