  1. In addition to autosave, I use a batch file to copy all my data files to a network folder. This protects me from losing everything due to a hard drive failure. It is an incremental backup so it only copies new or changed files. I use "Scheduled Tasks" in the Programs=>Accessories=>System Tools folder to schedule this backup twice a day. Here is a portion of the batch file: @echo Backing up MasterCam files... xcopy /e /c /f /h /r /y /m "C:mcamx2lathe*.*" "u:mcamx2lathe" xcopy /e /c /f /h /r /y /m "C:mcamx2mill*.*" "u:mcamx2mill" @echo Done backing up! pause rem /e = copy directories & sub-directories, including empty rem /c = continue even if error rem /f = display full source & destination rem /h = copy system & hidden files rem /r = overwrite read only files rem /y = supress prompting rem /m = copy only files with archive attribute set
  2. I do not have that machine, but have some experience with serial cable connections. An $8. tester (Google: "DB-25 Male to Female RS-232 Mini-Tester with 18 Pin Assignment LEDs") will identify which line is active while you are digitizing. If the receive light (RD) flashes while you are sending, use a crossover. If transmit (TD) flashes, use straight thru. You can upgrade to the $20. breakout box and try it out before you buy the cable. HTH
  3. We switched to nethasp last year without any problem. One add-on we use does not support nethasp (UG translator). We have a temporary license on one machine only until they figure out what to do.
  4. One caution - TZM is very brittle at room temperature. I had a part that was about the size and shape of a cup. It broke in half when it fell less than 2 feet.
