FADAL MILL 32 MP CONTROL

Perry,

Flip the switch over to DOS (or whatever it says these days) and find a program called "CNC Main." It's usually right on the C drive. Run the CNCMAIN.exe*. Select Disk to CNC memory. Navigate to the floppy drive. Select the file to send (it'll show up on the right side) then click Continue. Make sure you're in the Command mode on the CNC side first.

*Note: There is a CNCMAIND.EXE and a CNCMAINX.exe. Only one of those will work on the 32MP. The other will work on stand alone computers.

Here's the CNC Main .doc file.

The file "CNCMAINX.EXE" is to used in the 32MP control. This update allows

high speed transfer in the binary format.

Copy this file to the C:CNC subdirectory.

The file "CNCMAIND.EXE" is a desktop version of the "Memory Manager" used

on a IBM compatible computer (see requirements).

The main feature is to support the 1000 blks per second off-line "DNC" from

another computer other than the 32MP control. There are five functions

available off-line:

1) Disk to CNC memory transfer

2) CNC memory to disk transfer

3) Run from disk (DNC)

4) Compress file (Binary)

5) Communication Parameters

The following items are required in order to use the desk top version:

PC Requirements:

DOS 5.0 or Higher

512K memory

VGA Graphics

Mouse

Communication Port

CNC Requirements:

1400-3 or Higher

Software 94.1L or Higher

I see no reason to copy the file that they mention on the 4th line.

the hard drive is down on the dos side of it.

Do you mean the computer won't even boot up? If so, you could put the file on a laptop (for convenience sake) or another desktop and park it next to the machine. Open up the back panel behind the monitor and disconnect the network line and plug it into the replacement PC next to it. Then CNC Main should work fine on the replacement. We've got one running like that right now.
