Speed up verify 5ax.

Do any one have a idea how too speed up 5ax verify.

I had a slow verify, with settings set to quailty. We had to upgrade our PC to get it to run faster. What are you running (PC).

This may be a stupid question but I have to ask, are you using the "fast forward" button to run Verify or the "Play" button??

Pentium 4 3ghz. 2gb ram.Geforce 6200. We are making small parts with a high finish. 5ax. We are using play and fast forward. Some times it is nice too see the cuts.

Increasing the value for "Moves/refresh" will help.

Yes I know. Filter will also help. Is there a godt program for 5ax verify solid. I using cimco edit 5. Good program, but only wire tool paths. I thing mastercam x2 is slow and the new toolpaths is not making it faster.

There is a very good program for 5ax verify, called Verisurf. The only drawback is its price, at around $20k give or take depending on options.

Here is a not so stupid a question, what about if I need to see the tool cutting the part?

 

Seeing the finished part and seeing how it got done is 2 different things.

 

There is no way to speed up Mastercam's 5ax Verify, it is just slow, and you do not need to feel bad for complaining. If everybody complained about it maybe something would be done about it.

 

I think Matt was referring to Vericut not Verisurf.

 

With Vericut you will be verifying the actual gcode not the NCI which is much better.
