[RACINGCONVERTERS]

Can someone help? I have programed to use a tool as a locator for my material. Tool comes to position programed to unchuck slide the material now the machine will not chuck and stay in mem mode. To close thew chuck I am going to manual then the program is back at the beginning. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Does the machine open the chuck or the operator? If the machine opens the chuck then maybe it won't allow manual override; try just M00 and have the operator unchuck manually and rechuck instead.

Thanks Chris!! We found out that feed hold will allow this to happen. We are still figuring this machine out.

also keep in mind that with the Haas, it you single block through a bar pull operation, the machine will alarm with an open chuck error, but if you run without single block it will work.

We also use this method. If you put a moo after your z position move it allows the operator to open and close the chuck.
