  1. I tried just as you specified with no luck check parameter 3404 bit 2 and set it to 1 It says Memory Start *** fin and sits there like its waiting for something.
  2. I've followed the instructions from the thread and I get a blinking LSK that locks up the control when I try to read a file into memory from the data server. This is with IO set to 5. Really at a loss here not sure what's going on.
  3. I've tried 1,2,3,4,5,and now 21. The manual seems to be no help it tells me how to setup the machine to run the pcmia card slot using channel 4, but nothing about the data server. Sorry for the dumb question, but what does f copy mean. I get to that option under the HDDir softkey, but what ever I try I get Format error.
  4. Ok so I've tried 18 which would not let me change it to. said data out of range. Changed it to 21 and I get the same response it sits at the call m198 p1003 and says Memory Start *** fin. It just sits there like its trying to do something, but nothing happens.
  5. HI guys, Its been a long time since I've posed on here, but I need your help. I've searched and found some info, but not what I need. I have a Kitamura 2xif with a Fanuc 16I-MD. I have a fast board or data server that I can ftp files to. The problem is I cannot run them. I've tried m198 p1003. With no avail. The machine io device is set to 4. Which I believe is the pcmia slot. I'm at a loss right now. Should I be changing the Il device to another number? If so which should it be? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a hot job that needs to be running... Thanks, ATG

  12. Does anyone currently use the bug plus holders from Kaiser of the dual contact holders? What are your experiences with these holders? Like's dislikes. I've heard the patent runs out on these holders next year is this true. Thanks

  17. Thats good to hear, I've used the spindle probe at a couple shops now (all Haas machines). Sure seems like its worth the extra coin.
  18. Are you guys using the the renishaw tool touch off and spindle probe? For your setups. If so, does this change things again?
  19. "Both have 640M fusion controls. Both are great machines for the money but they have a few annoying issues when it comes to setup using pure .EIA methods." What types of issues? We would surly mostly use mastercam to program offline. So I’m curious
  20. Wow I would say the overwhelming majority would be Okuma. They ran a renishaw ball bar test yesterday. .00023 out of round on an 8inc rad @40ipm and .00032 in the Z axis. I guess that sounds pretty good, but @ 40 ipm is this a standard test, Are these results good or bad? Also lets not forget the Okuma is used 2005 The Mazak is 2009 model still on the dealers floor.
  21. THANKS, Now comes the negotiations
