Raised letters project on a surface

Hi.guys:

Following the tutorial Raised letters project on a surface.One MDF part finished .Everything is good.There is one problem: when machining the pocket which was projected on the surface, pocket start from a horizontal plane.As the surface have been done before pocketing,it spend a lot of time to mchine in the air.How to change my setting to save machine time.

Hi,L.K:

Resetting stock height cannot solve this problem.

When machining the pocket Mastercam calculate the Z level from top of the very begining stock.

The software doesn't calculate from the face which already been milled for project.The surface is couved but Mastercam calculate the depth cutting by horizental level.That produce lot of air cutting
