modeling spindle

Hello,

Can someone tell me how to model a spindle for tool colision purposes. I am using X2 and have seen the V-flange holder and tool, but there are times when I am machining over the pallet table. i would like to check from a side view that the spindle cartridge does not hit the table.

Thanks in advance,

Greg.

Draw the whole thing as custom tool, spindle, holder, and tool. If using HST toolpaths you can make a special holder and keep the tool separate. I understand soon you might be able to use custom holders for all toolpaths but until then I would do a custom tool so it will work with all toolpaths in Mastercam.
