hello all,

Is that still a bug or am I missing something?

when I select a second offset in the groove-finish box, it backplots the wrong cotter edge.

I think it only happens whean I chosse cutter comp in control.

the code seems to be ok.

in verify it´s also the same, it cuts to much of the part.

any Ideas, anybody has the same problem?

Okay, so far, so good.

I tried all the settings it doesn´t changes anything but the position of the corners in the toolpath.

when I choose the comp type "center", it cuts in to bothe walls of the groove.

I tried with a lot of groove forms. when I chosse the groove to be defined by a contour, select a secon offset and chosse "control" in comp type it happens every time.

can anybody try that and If your toolpath is okay would you please post it on the ftp?

......and that´s the point. In some kind of situations we need the compensation to be computed in the control, I just want to know if there´s a way to show the correct toolpath moves in backplot and verify when cutter compensation is selected to "control".

anyway is that a bug, or it´s just unusual to select comp type "control" when working with a second offset?

Mornin'

I looked into a bit this morning and I see your concern. I usually only use the "computer"

as the compensation type. I did try all options and agree that it does violate the part. I'm not sure if its a bug or not.

Hopefully someone can help resolve this.

Good luck cheers.gif
