Change recognition

Is there a tutorial on setting Change recognition and file tracking up ? Im confused lol.. not sure if it will even help me but would like to see how it works so i can see if it will be of some use here.. thanks,,

This looks like a useful tool indeed and I somewhat understand it now..The only problem it would have is around our shop the designer dosent use a uniformed naming system when exporting out files..It would be beneficial to files I save on my my computer after importing them from the design computer.As long as I followed some kind of naming system.. will have to look into this further.. thanks guys..
