Lathe/Mill Verify Cuts

Hey all,

 

I am working on a sample part for our upcoming Mazak Integrex e500.

 

What would be the odds that in verify instead of having the cut tool cut in quarter secions (since this is considered a lathe part), actually cut like it does in the mill verify, from where you want leaving which side of the stock...? Is it possible to accomplish this?

 

I am trying to look at an internal part but am unable because it cuts in quarter sections.

Try creating a solid that will have an edge that bisects the desired feature and use that as your verify stock.

There was a cool function in V9 called studio for surfaced modals.

 

Try setting the stock to translucent, it might help you.

 

The ability to create sections in verify Lathe at different radial angles from the centre line would be a good enhancement Randy.
