Haas Program Transfer

I cant seem to find in the manual for our Haas MDC500 how to transfer certain file numbers (persay O119 - O223) to a disk all in one command. I don't really want to spend half an hour going to each file and hitting send....

 

The normal fanuc way doesn't seem to work (tried O119 - O223 ...nota, and O119,O223 and still nota).

 

If anybody knows that would be awesome.

Unfortunately Haas doesn't have a function like this. You will have to do them one by one.

in your file directory when you pick the file you want.. have you tried to hit "insert" then choose the file...then move to the next... and hit "INSERT" ?

 

On my Haas mill it allows me to select them from the list with insert for a rs232 download..and thinking you should be able to pick them the same way for floppy. I have never done it but it does allow me to pick them from the list that way.

You can send to a floppy from the list like Kannon says.

 

If your programs are small enough to fit on a floppy.

 

 

I have a few short programs on a floppy, at the machine, that we use alot just in case they get deleted by mistake.

I will have to try what you said Kannon.

I've asked the Haas people about this and they tell me there is no way to send selective programs. Only all or one by one.

Randy...glad it worked..I havent tried it...I always RS232 to the machine..then ditch it when I am done.
