2-D question

I rarely use 2-d so please excuse my ignorance.

I am profiling the outside of an oblong shaft.

.05 step down (with 1/4 em)

from z-0- to z-1.5

The initial path isn't the problem

I would like the cutter to do 2 finish passes at

the bot(-1.5) at the end of the toolpath (keep tool down).

Can I do that in the 2d contour path by checking

boxes?(Cant find the boxes)

Thanks

Rickster

(pretending to be a rookie today)

In contour there is a multipasses box, you can set that to 2 and check at finish depth, check keep tool down.

If you want to go around twice with no lead in lead out, you'll have to play with the over lap amount to get it to go around twice and THEN lead out.,

For complete control you might wind up doing it in 2 ops, one for the roughing and a separate one for the finishing

iF YOU JUST WANT TO GO AROUND TWICE WITH NO LEAD IN LEAD OUT, YOU'LL HAVE TO PLAY WITH THE OVERLAP AMOUNT TO KEEP IT ON THE PART FOR THE COMPLETE 2 TIMES AROUND

JPinkie no need to yell, he just asked a question. rolleyes.gif
