lathe problem

I have had problems with lathe tools for the past 3 versions. I even noticed it in X. When I select a groove tool, run it and decide I need a smaller (narrower) tool, I change it, and it doesn't take. I actually have to go into the tool parameters and tool clearance and I see that it is WRONG there. Has anyone else seen this problem. This issue caused a couple of SCRAP parts.

that has happened a couple of times with me also

what you have to watch is that when you change size on insert you have to make sure size on holder width

is a tad smaller than the size of insert or it will go back to what it was also if you dont get a message "changing this tool will update your operations " and hit ok it will not change
