Mechanical Desktop 2008 Importing

I am having a real bad time trying to import these files into our system. I tried bringing them into MCam from the native, step, iguess, etc. etc. with nothing but bad results. I have tried to import the files into Solidworks and they dont come in much cleaner. When I do get them to "look" cleaner, I dump them to MCam and they still appear wrong. The surfaces all have .001 to .005 edge overlaps at the minimum.

Is this a setting from the native Mech. Desktop export that is causing such a lousy file? I have downloaded all the latest and greatest for the MCam side of AutoDesk but it doesnt seem to help with my import problems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. headscratch.gif

Thank you for the suggestions, I will pass this information along to my customer. Yes, having them exploded first seems to help also. Any ideas about the overlapping surfaces? This is difficult to work with in Mcam, and Im trying to cut molds, not just slab cut surfaces. I was told not to worry about them the cutter will just "roll" over it. This is true to a point, but what about when Im picking corners out...

Thanks again.
