Problems downloading subprograms in control

Hey guys-

 

I have this part with all of these little cutouts and I wanted to use the translate toolpath radial with subprogram to save on code. It seems to post correctly out of Mcam, but when we try to download it into the control, the only thing that comes up are the actual subprograms (O0001, O0002, O0003 and O0004) that are at the bottom of the code file. It wont get the top of the program, there arent any M30's in the code to interrupt it either.

m30 has nothing to do with loading in the machine(it just tells the program to return to top) do you have the same # in the program as one of the subs?could be over writing

no the program number is O0000, which is our default program number. I even changed that number to some random number to see if that was it.

Are there any % that might act as the trigger?

Our machines are Mori SV-50's with a Fanuc control. I can only see % at the beginning and end.

can you try moving your main program under your subs and see if that works?

So I just tried that, and that doesnt want to work either, i get the same result in the control.

OK, are you sure your file name is an O and not a zero

Yes its a O.

 

I copied the .NC file onto cadcams ftp in the all nc prog folder. The file number is 3100101 if you want to look at it.

Hey I found out what the problem was. Whenever we download any program into the control, the file has a program number of O0000. When the control downloads it,it automatically changes it to O0001. The subprogram numbers were O0001-4. I changed them to go from 2-5, and it loaded perfectly. Nothing like something as simple as that to throw off your code! Thanks for your help guys
