Tool holder parameters

John,

I'm not sure if 17592 is what I want or not. The title "MACH: MULTI_HEAD_COMPONENT_TYPE" is telling me no I think. There's no more info for that parameter. I'm looking for the parameter that stores the field called "Head #" right under the "Tool #" field in the Define Tool window. I put "3333" in the box and it took so does that tell me that it's not bitwise or does it just not have format control?

We had an operator that typed .005 on a tool length offset, hit the input button rather than +input and proceeded to drive that tool into a clustertower. I want to add gage length checks to my program and use the "head #" field as a tool holder identifier.

Edit: I just searched for 17592 in the .nci file and came up empty.
