Buffer overflow

We've got a vf2 & vf4 and we're trying to use MCXstart to send a large file using dnc for the 1st time with no results. Keep getting " 232 buffer overflow.

I've check the forum search, and there is nothing. I've tried different settings on the machine and computer, making sure they match, and still nothing.

What are we doing wrong???

ummm..from the book I am seeing it says..

 

Data sent too fast to cnc. This alarm is not normally possible as this control can keep up with even 115200 bits per second.

Computer sending data may not respond to X-OFF.

make sure you try handshake with software only, if that doesn't work try hardware only, and if that doesn't work try software/hardware both on.

Check this, I am assuming you are using COM1

 

Control Panel >>System >> Hardware Tab >> Device Manager >> COMS >> Right click on COM1 >> Properties >> Port Setting Tab >> Advanced >> Uncheck "Use FIFO Buffers

 

OK all the way out, may require reboot.
