Hi Tim,

 

What is the problem you are having with that one machine? Is it a Fanuc or Yasnac controller?

 

Matsuura had a tendency to ship their machines without enabling the DC codes on a Yasnac control. Many shops had to keep the baud at 1200 in order to not drop any data. If it is a Yasnac then take a look at parameters 6026-6029. Depending on the I/O channel you will have to change the parameter to enable Xon-Xoff (DC Codes) Another thing that would cause issues if there are too many space characters in your G code. Yasnacs of that vintage would pause while the UART discarded the extra spaces and sometimes it would result in a dropped character.
