Macro B Commands

Hello,

We are facing a situation where we have installed a monitoring system on a machine that has a FANUC 30iMC control. Marco B turned on. And a huge look ahead. The problem we face seems to be inherent to this control. We need to do a BPRNT statement to our new monitoring system. These are placed throughout the Program. Start monitoring, Stop monitoring, and so on. But what happens is, because of the large look ahead it dumps out all the BPRNT statements in its look ahead path instead of only as the control gets to that line of execution. How is it that I can fix this so the control will not send a ton of BPRNT's to the Monitoring system all at once. Is there a macro statement that executes only on the line of execution. Then place our BPRNT but will not harm the look ahead.?

Thanks we found it. Used a unbuffered "M" code

(as in M7 M8 M9)

one that was in ladder but not used. We used M7 under Parameter 3411 and it works. no Macro B used.

Anytime you're doing Calculations you ALWAYS want to "Buffer Protect". Each machine has a different code to do this, but with the 30i/31i these controls are notorious for scrwing up probing because of the look ahead. Same deal, gotta slow the control down for a bit while you take some measurements, then kick it back up.
