How to create a piece of custom tool bar?

Reseller rep was in last Monday for some training. Showed us how to set up a custom 4-operation section for the tool bar. Remember how to get to the C-hooks, but don't remember 1st thing he did to start creating the custom tool bar section. frown.gif

Didn't have time Friday to look for it myself. Did try helping the other programmer for a few seconds while he was attempting to add the same custom section to his computer. (Example was done on my computer.)

Can't reach rep for another week. How do I start the new tool bar section? Thanks.

Not in Categories, maybe?

To expand on what Steve said, the Categories dropdown is where you get to select which icons to add to your custom toolbar. I'm going from memory now, but from the "File" category, you'll find the icons for File-Open, File-Save as, File-Save some, etc. So, switch to the category that has the icons that you're looking for (you can use more than one category), then click and drag the icon you want out into the graphics window. That will start your custom toolbar. Keep adding icons until you've got what you want. On the left side of the dialog box, you'll see "New Toolbar" hightlighted. Right click-Rename and give it a name. Then, position the toolbar where you always want it to be. In the upper section of the Customize dialog box, click "Toolbar States" select the toolbar state that you want to save (probably the default with an * by it), then Save-OK. At the bottom of the Customize dialog box, hit the Floppy Disk icon, save your .mtb file-OK-OK. Now, every time you launch MC, you should have your new toolbar just where you put it.
