Unable to communicate..

I recently started using a new PC. I have 4 machines that I program with this system. Since I made the switch I am not able to send to just one of them. the other three work fine. I checked all my DNC settings, compared them to the setting on the old system an all are the same. Ive tried using cimco5 and MCeditor with the same results. I also hooked my old PC back up and sent with that just fine. I'm running out of options.

The only thing that I can think of is COM port setting for that machine? Sounds dumb, I know, but I have experienced a 'self-change' of COM ports in Cimco before.

I use a switch box off of com port 1. I looked at the port settings and they are the same as old pc???

 

BTW; the machine I'm unable to send to is a Mits. FX10k wire edm

Hmmmm....I seem to remember my Ex saying something about that. Prolly dosn't matter though.

Already tried that.....

 

My old pc was 32 bit ran on windows 2000...new ia 64 running xp pro. Maybe this might be a factor???

Have you checked the BIOS to see if com port1 is active?

I know its active because i get an error at the machine when I try to send
