Centurian IV help!

I've got a ceturian IV on a milltronics machine, and an older computer with Mastercam 7.0 on it. What pic config do I need for the cable on the rs-232 port? Will the centurian V post that comes with MC work on this machine? Thanx!

Seriously, welcome to the forum, it is a great place for information.

 

Call Miltronics, they will FAX you a diagram for the RS 232 cable.

 

Try the Post, it should work.

Since you have Mastercam v7.0, it's better to update it to v7.2c (free for v7 customer, your dealer might be able to make a CD copy for you.)

 

I've done file transfers with Milltronics Centurion V controllers using regular software handshake RS-232 cable. I would start with that.
