EUE thread form

Hi all, 1st post and just got MAstercamX in so trying to get up to speed. Have a customer drawing with an internal 2.375EUE thread as per EUE 2375. Been trying to find info about the thread form on the net and in my referance books but unable to find any. Looking for the basic info such as angle and depths as it not on my list for threads in mastercam. If you could post a link for the info that would be great. Thanks

Thanks for looking, but that just shows that they use the thread not and spec about the thread itself. I need to find the angle that it made at, and the shape of the thread itself.

My specs for a 2.375 eue:

 

 

the counter bore is 2.656 dia x .375 deep

 

the theoretical start point at Z0 for the start of the taper is 2.47+.01"-.000" dia.

 

from there the angle is 1.79 degrees and there should be minimum 2.5" of thread on Z.

 

thread depth is usually around .08" or so you have to keep going more on depth until the insert tops the thread completely, and your gage is at the right standoff.

Jarrett thats the sort of infomation i was looking for . Thank you, I should be able to work out my positions from that. If there's a standard i could look at that would help a lot as well. Toxsol

The one you want is in the bottom chart, right in the middle, kinda hard to see but it says 2-3/8 under nominal dia.
