help with an okuma mb-46 vae

new to the okuma and i can not get it to start up it gives me an alarm 0721 devicesnet error 24e8004 'ch2 sc4'

any help would be grate

What does your manual say about the alarm?

i can't find it in any of the manuals and i can,t find the alarm list in any of the manuals

Please check alarm code is there a letter missing? Essentially there is a hardware problem. What is the control version and machine model?

the code is right and the control is osp p200

Oh this sounds bad, Have you recently changed Hardware? anything at all? or have you added software?

I would call your Okuma store ASAP on that one; no help from me otherwise as we don't have any P controls yet

I don't know how to fix your problem, but just so you know there is(should be) a pocket manual on your control that opens when you hit the info key on the left side below the screen.

You can type the alarm code in there and it will tell you (if you do it before the alarm is cleared it goes straight to it)

This is what the alarm is listed as on the Multus with the osp 200L control.

got the same error on our captain mill-turn with the p-200

 

they got to format and reinstall winXP and the OSP

 

 

microsoft for the win

 

the night shift close the machine at the end of the day , the day shift reopen-it and BAM the alarm was here

 

the okuma tech tell me there is 3 probable cause

1-shut the power off in windows closing sequence

2- HDD problem

3- someone delete a file in windows
