X2 Uninstall???

Hey guys,

 

This may be a dumb question but I wanted to be sure.

 

I'm currently running X2-MR2 in parallel with X2. Can I unistall and remove X2 without it affecting X2-MR2? I'd like to have the extra 4G of space.

The only answer I can is it might and it might not. I have seen it do OK and I have seen it make you have to "redo" a couple of things.

Thanks jp. Tomorrow I'm going to backup my posts/defs and give it a try. And hey... If something bad happens I've been needing an excuse to install X3

Josh just make sure you install X2MR2 before you install X3.

My X2-MR2 installation is 795MB. You'd probably be better off just deleting that which you don't need starting with sample files and tutorials. Then move on to jobs, nc programs and temp files no longer needed if you store them in Mcam's folders. That should get you 3 of the 4GB you're looking for back at least.

I did the X2 Uninstall and kept X2 MR2 and everything is running great! Thanks for all of the help and advice
