Tapered Cutters and Verify

Hello All,

I'm having a problem with X3MU1 showing tapered cutters as straight flute in verify. The cutters are defined correctly and verified correctly before I patched MU1 yesterday. Also in backplot I can see the taper fine. Any help would be welcome.

Thanks,

Matt

I have also had some of these problems with slot mills and bull nose end mills. I went to settings, configuration, verify settings, and changed it to "auto". This worked for me. I wonder if I will have a problem with custom tool profiles now.

On a side note I have found if you use "turbo" to verify with, the problem tool will always be messed up. It seems to be disreguarding the setting.

It bugged me to have to change the settings, configuration, verify settings to "auto" so I changed back to "as defined" and went back and had another look.....

Another piece of the puzzle is if I open a file created in V9 or X2, when it opens all operations are green checked and look good, "then go directly to verify without regening", I get "corrupt or invalid tool, contact your mastercam dealer". It is now stuck in verify, and I must click OK at the start of each tool to just get thru it and the verify model will be slightly wrong.

So if I Regenerate all toolpaths first, then go into verify, the error goes away and it verifies correctly! Yea! hope this helps.
