lathe c-axis face drill on sub

i can set my tool to drill the rite way on sub

 

i set the mill/turn option to top/right

i set a new plane to use as sub Z0

i set axis combo to right/upper

 

 

and still got this

 

the c'sink should be on the other side !

 

did i miss something , i struggle with this all the afternoon and it so simple to do it by hand

Is this backplot or verify? Backplot will turn the part but verify will move the tool to where its drilling.

both are the same

 

"normally" backplot shows the real thing ,i know that verify got some major bugs with multi axis machine

i took a screen shot of backplot, the holder should be between the spindle

are you in the main or sub spindle?

If its upper turret/main spindle your axis combination should be left/upper, not right/upper

check the home position data for the machine and tools also...

...and the millturn data for the tool...looks like the tool's set to work in the left spindle

i work on sub so right/upper is correct

 

i drill+chamfer on the main and back chamfer on the sub

 

my brain gets overheating by a dumb washer with 2 holes !!!

maybe 2 right/top gives a left top like 2 negativr gives a positive???

thats ok , it works now , i just shut down mastercam an re-opened , now its ok

 

this xxxx me off when bugs like this append , i lost about 2 hours for nothing
