Importing DWG Files

Has anyone noticed that with X3 when you import dwg files the entities don't come is as they were drawn in Autocad. What I have seen is that if the file contains blocks the entities contained in that block don't come in as they should. For instance center lines for holes don't come in the correct color or of the correct line style. I have noticed this change from X2 to X3. One other note is I have not yet had my MU1 update and not sure if that will fix the problem. Not sure when we will get our update as it seems we are always one step behind here. frown.gif

Brian,

X3 MU1 does indeed contain improvements as we have improved our understanding of how attributes (color, layer, etc) are applied in AutoCAD when entities are in blocks.

Since you don't have MU1 installed yet, you can send me a DWG or 2 and I'll read them in for you and send you back the MCX file so you can see the improvement. (And if there is no improvement, it'll allow me to attempt to correct the problem).
