Inconel 792 w/Hi (M1467)

I'm quoting up a job that is made of this Material in a casting what should I expect with Machine Speeds & Feeds and depth of cuts?

My Kennametal chart recommends:

 

MOD. Inconel 792 (not sure if this is W/Hi)

 

30-100 sfm for uncoated carbide

50-150 for coated

250-600 for advanced (ceramic/CBN)

 

I don't see an AMS number for this mat'l

Inconel 792 has a Pratt & Whitney designation of 1467 with a machinability rating of 12.

Go here and enter 1467 to get some sort of a starting point.

Slow and steady. Cobalt will do much better in casting if you're rough milling. Ceramics will work great also if you're turning (and milling in the right application).
