G96 gear selection code

Im new to mastercam and new to the forum. Im programming a Takisawa TC4 lathe with a Fanuc 10T control. The post (mlpfan) outputs correct gear selection code for G97 but outputs nothing for G96. I read one of the forum answers to this question and it said to start the program out in high range which overtime will damage motors due to low torque. This also need to change when I go from O.D. to an I.D. banghead.gif

This is controlled in the post using lookup tables.

In the postblock "pgear"

there should be some lines like this:

if css_actv$ = zero, gear_spd = speedrpm

else, gear_spd = (conversion * g_speed) / (pi$ * abs(x_min$) * two)

gear = frange(one, gear_spd)

*gear

If it works for G97, maybe there is something wrong with one of these lines....

Or, you could check with your reseller, they should be able to fix this easily.
