X4 Surface Finish Contour Shallow

Are there any know bugs when using this toolpath? Under Shallow settings I have minimum step down to .0001" with limiting step over at .004" using a 45deg limiting angle.

 

What is happening is when the tool is in the shallow area is is only using the limiting step down and ignores the limiting step over creating a LONG toolpath. Same thing in X3.

 

Bug or is my understanding of this toolpath incorrect?

Your question is not clear there are no options like this for the path you specified do you mean HST shallow?

To be more clear, I am using the Shallow Option (checkbox) under the Finish Contour Parameters tab.
