It does not have the setting = 4 for the card reader, Do you know how to use the card reader on a lathe

yes its still 4 for the card. I think it only says 1-3 on the settings page but 4 should still be ok.

What he said. ) and 1 are always RS-232, 4 is always Card (sometimes in front, sometimes in cabinet), and 5 is always dataserver.

It says out of Range when you enter 4 will it still be effective?

I don't think so. I've not seen an i series yet that did not have access to I/O channel 4.
