Tabbing issues

I am a new user of mastercam and would love any pointers re tabbing.

 

Nesting parts with tabs doesn't always work.Part don't seem to recognise toolpath boundries. Are there some constraints to consider when nesting

 

I have X3 router, on Biesse machines

Try placing the tabs manually instead of automatic. I have the same problem once in a while and haven't figured out why yet.

manual placement will save you some headaches. a few more clicks, but you will get better results.

Manual placement does give me peace of mind and looks alot better.

 

I see that geometry has to be closed for tabs to be accepted by nesting. Toolpaths can overlap otherwise.

I use Manual Tab placement almost exclusively.

Do you use nesting?
