5 AXIS POST FOR V8

I'm using version 8 and trying to find a post processor for a 5 axes mill turn center with a Siemens 840D control. could anyone please help. The machine will be delivered at the end of September. So time is of the essence. You can contact me at [email protected] Thanks

Garen They seem more intrested is trying to sell me version 9 then trying to help me with version 8

The upgrade to V9 will give more toolpath options for 5ax. If you wnat to drive the machine to its potential, make the additional investment. The first job you run will cover the costs...

If no solid recommendations come in here, try doing a search for custom post processor. Be prepared to spend money though. People don't give away good 5 axis posts.

I have to agree with MFGENG about upgrading to version 9. Some of the greatest features in version 9 are the multiaxis tool vector control tools. Having been involved in 5 axis programming for more than the last 5 years I have to say that version 9 has greatly improved not only part quality but especially the ease of programming. as for posts try the generic 5 ax post that comes with router. You might be able to get it from your re-seller.
