Pocket Standard, Roughing/Finishing Parameters, Highspeed, Highspeed settings. This pocketing routine is the best for taking very deep cuts. I need to know the rules to apply to the Trochoidal moves ie Rc30 3/4" cutter .25 loop radius .1 loop spacing @ 3/4" deep or 1/2" cutter .1 loop radius .025 loop spacing @ 1/2" deep. Drop me a line on what works best for you.

What do you mean by rules?

Also, what version are you using? In X4 dynamic pocket beats the heck out of the standard high speed pocket.

I'm using X3 until I can get the bugs out of My X4 mu1. I also do not like the new 2d format in X4 so it may take me a while to get over there. The highspeed pocket parameters are a bit to get a hold of. The size of the raduis as well as the size of the forward step taken for different cutter sizes. My Tech sudjested 25% and that's way too much and have been using 5-10% at full flute length. How far can you go??

I use between 15-25%in dynamic pocket.

I think you have to lower that a bit in the standard pocket.

I recommend moving to X4 MU1
