    Short answer, yes. There is a button to change from gnomon manipulation to geom manipulation. You need to toggle back and forth as necessary. It's hard to explain without seeing what you want to do and not showing you. This is one of my favorite functions in MC

    If you use feed moves instead of rapid, verify won't stop or see a collision.

    I've never used that. Would have been handy though. unless you mean when the geom window is open. Did it highlight also when the operation was selected?
