Sequence Numbers

Is there somewhare else besides 'Screen, Configure, NC Settings' where the NC sequence numbers can be set? The file I am working on today posts out the sequence numbers starting at 5 and increasing by 5's. I imported the ops from an earlier file, and looking back at those series of files (daisy chain import of ops) they all start at 5 ect. Never noticed back than.

 

I have my default setup to be starting at 1, increasing by 1. The file I porgrammed friday with ops created from scratch follows the default.

 

And it dosn't matter if I change posts...

Were this is coming from is the default in V8.

So in your 1st paramater page when bringing into V9 change it there .

Then set default from the Cofig file for any new programs.

 

I want to add to this . the Seqenc sems to change when importing ops from another to 5 & 5.

 

I was wrong on the default it is 100 & 2.

I need to look at this some more.

Yea, if you could... THis is really another strange Sunday at the ol' rocketship factory...

 

The original files were created in V9 back in Feb. I've never notice this happening before. (Didn't ay it didn't ahppen, just that I didn't notice)

Or if you're using Cimco edit, you could just click NC Functions, Remove Block Numbers, then Insert Block Numbers.

Hi Kathy, I'm only looking at ver 8.1.1 but it might be the same. In Operation Manager, click on 'parameters', on the tool parameters page look for 'Seq start' and 'Seq Inc'. Should be able to make changes there.

Kathy just tried this now and can not make it happen I will have to fine a file that I can import from before SP1.

I am not in the office so most of my files are on the server at the office.

 

Well I found a file from 1-26-2002 and not a problem I am not sure .

 

Now did you go back to the old file and look at what seqence #'s were set for in the first Paramater page?

Right there it was right under my nose!

I was able my file I was working on. But how did it change in the first place? Will it stay fixed?
