Output 3D arc moves?

Hi! I am using MX4 and everytime i go through Transition, under Cut Parameters, I see the square "Output 3D arc moves". It is quite frustrated to dont know what it is for.

Could anyone give me a better explanation than the help button in MX.

If you are using a helix cut to ramp an entry hole

you can post point to point data for the helix cut.

If your machine supports 3D arcs, the 3D arc buttom instructs your post to output 3d arc motion
