Applying Stock to Solids

I am using solids to generate tool paths, the part is a casting, I wish to apply stock to the solid model, as with castings some areas are “as cast” and some areas have machining allowance. Can I use the casting model that we use for casting simulation? If not, how can I apply the stock?

Yes use your solid model. File Convert to stl format and sve in the data directory. Then when you run verify instead of box check file and then a little lower open up your stl file. Then when you run the simulation it will look like you are machining the casting.
