Opening .Tools file with MS Excel

Is it possible (and if so, how?) to open the tool file in Excel. I am on X4 mu3. There are some things i would like to change in my tools and it would be so much easier to see it in a spreadsheet, rip down through the changes and then save back to .tools.

you can convert it to a .txt file and edit that.

go into your tool manager then right click on bottom portion and choose import/export tools, then export and follow the prompts

Yes you can import into Excel. As stated above you first export as a .txt file and then open that with Excel choosing an appropriate delimeter for the columns. Results may vary depending on how complete each tool definition is, in your library.

Assuming that works well, which I think it would, how do I get back to a .txt format that is "un-delimited" so that MasterCAM can re-convert it to a .TOOLS file?
