SOLID IGES

Hi. I have always created my own solids. For the first time I had to import one. The iges file imported fine. I was able to open it and shade feature woks fine but I can not select it with the mouse or use "solid find features" option because I can not select it as a solid. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks, Sean.

This is a Mastercam bug.. fixed in X4 MU3.

earlier releases suffer from it, some more than others.

Try the "Regen Display" command.

The icon looks like a paintbrush on an orange background.

If that doesn't fix it, shut Mastercam down after importing and restart. That will fix it for sure

I didn't know you could import an IGES as a solid. I thought they were strictly surfaces?
