tapping nak-55

anybody here work with nak-55.It seems to mill pretty good but tapping that a different story.Tapped 1 1/4-20 hole with a osg hypro tap .900 deep ran just fine went to the 2nd hole and pop!!!I only have 8 holes to do so I put a new tap in and just got the rest started about .250 deep hand tapped 1 all the way down went to the second hole and that tap felt worn already it felt like it was going to break.I would thread mill these but I already started the thread.

Love that stuff. I don't tap it though. Thread mill is the way to go.

ya i fingered that out the hard way i just want to get thru this plate and i will tredmill the rest.
