Mastercam and AHHA

Hello,

I have a Dyna 2400C mill.

I only have 900 lines of programming.

I was considering a to upgrade from AHHA.com.

The upgrade is about $3900.00.

Does Mastercam level 3 Ver.8.1 work with these componets?

Is there another way to increase the lines of programming?

Can anyone give me some feed back.

Hi Tom,

Actually, you are probably not limited to "900" lines of code, but rather so many "K", or bytes of information. Suggest using filter, reducing your accuracy to 3 decimal places, and deleting sequence numbers. These things will significantly reduce the size of your nc program, thereby increase your capability.

4K is a lot of money....

Also make sure the value in "spaces" in your post is set to "0". Believe it or not, a space takes up as much room as a character. Also if your machine supports Sub Programs, use them that will also help to reduce file size.

I DON'T KNOW IF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME MACHINE, BUT I HAVE A AUTOCAN DYNAPATH DELTA 20. IT HAS A SMALL MEMORY SPACE BUT WE GET AROUND IT BY USING THE BUFFER INPUT. I ACCESS THIS BY TYPING RS232C IN THE CATALOG,THEN I HAVE UNLIMITED MEMORY SPACE. MAYBE ALL THIS IS USELESS BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE IT A TRY.

I have Ran 2 to 3 meg surfacing files on my Ah-Ha Design Group System I use a MPFAN post slightly modified to my taste. It is on a 1970 Monarch VMC-100 that I totaly referbished. It will run programs from hard disk.
