Were ever the standard says the organization "Will" or "Shall" those are things you must do....
the rest is however you think will best help you company......
at least that is what our internal auditing instructor told us...
Thanks for your reply SuperUser....
But sourcing is not my problem, Locating the Matrix CNC Control battery is....
I know where the Servo Drive batteries go....
We have 7 Mazak machines:
three QTN-350's 2005,2006,2007 all 640T Nexus Controls
a QTN-350-II 2007 Matrix Nexus Control
a QTN-450-II 2008 Matrix Nexus Control
a Integrex 200-IV ST 2008 Matrix Control
And lastly,
a Integrex i-100 ST 2013 Matrix 2 Control
I know where and what the Control Battery is on the 640T Nexus Controls:
Mazak # D50USA00090
I get batteries from OSI Batteries their # is LS14500MER
(OSI has the MRJ-2 drive batteries also)
but on the other Matrix control machines, I can not find where they are...
the Mazak # for the Matrix control battery is D50USA00150
but I do not know where they go on our machines...
Can anybody help ??
We are wanting to bond a 6" x 6" x 1" thick steel plate to the corner of a granite surface plate. This will be for our magnetic base of our Faro Arm. We do not want to drill & bed in threaded inserts. So we are investigating this option.
Has anyone had success with some kind of epoxy, What did you use ??
bonding material must harden rigid (no Silicone or construction adhesive)
Thanks in advance.
My company just purchased a NEW 2013 Integrex i-100 ST and Mazak wants $ 2000.00 for a 3D model of the machine for use in our Verification software...
And Mazak wants $ 2,000.00 plus I have to sign a non disclosure...
All I want is the machine envelope, I do not want the whole darn machine !!
Thanks Guys for the responses....
We do have a colessing (sp) filter on the machine
Maintenance vacuums up the tramp oil layer a couple of times a week
I think the air bubbler would definitely help a lot...
thanks again...
Eric
We have two Haas machines that originally had Trim-Sol coolant in them.
Now we are using Blaser Swiss-Lube, and they stink like rotten fish...
We emptied out the system, and flushed with Bleach water for several hrs.
Drained & cleaned the sumps, mixed up a fresh batch of coolant ( at the proper concentration )
we use a refractometer to set the concentration.
In no time the machines stunk to high heaven again...
Anybody ever have this happen ???
I worked in the plastics business for 20+ years..... After you mill the pockets with the best surface finish you can get, whip out your propane torch and flame polish the areas you machined.... cut some pockets in some scrap to perfect your technique.
depending on how good the surface is to start you should get pretty clear results...
Laszlo,
If your accuracy requirements are in the .005" to .015" range, then the NextEngine 3D Laser Scaner System would be great for you... I have used one to reverse engineer Harrier Jet duct tube service protection covers, Airplane interior parts, Airplane nav light bezels, Golf Cart aftermarket parts.
The unit is about the size of a lage dictionary, It can be purchased with Rapidform XOR reverse enginering software that will output a EDITABLE SolidWorks part file.... as well as other CAD neutral formats....
All for less than $ 7,000.00
PM me and I will give you my phone number.... to discuss further...
We have an old 1995 Mod # 760 - 22 Bridgeport VMC.....
That we use for small jobs... The X axis ballscrew has locked up, I am trying to find out
what is involved to get it out and repaired or replaced...
Does anybody have a Parts list and or a maintenance manual for this machine ??
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE......
Well Haas put in the second Spindle ..... Checked the Spindle lube system.... Said that it was "fine" but cranked up the pressure anyways... ???
So far so good on this spindle.....
Josh, Yes we are using balanced tool holders.
New Spindle installed Friday...... Ran Break-in program....
Did not last even one 12 hr. shift....... locked up
here we go again...
Haas Tech puled the spindle cartridge out yesterday... new one to arrive today for installation
Josh, I will check to see if we are using balanced holders...
Haas corporate still dilly dalying around.... now we found that there is .100" of end play in the spindle !!!!!!
And we still are deciding whether or not the spindle is bad ????
UPDATE.......
Now yesterday the machine started sqealing again.... this time the surface finish showed vibration and the Z was all over the place
Haas tech got here today with a drawbar force tester.... that was good but he said that the spindle cartridge is bad.... wating for Haas
corporate to review the video and reports....
looks like the spindle will be coming out.....
We have a 2011 Haas VF3 YT/50 10K spindle machine we bought brand new in 2011, and right from the start the spindle seemed to be very loud especialy when we ran it above 6 or 7K RPM.
We had a Haas tech in and he said it sounded normal and suggested we run a warm-up program....
It still sounded horable and 2 weeks ago after running all morning at 12:20 PM it started really squeling and fualted out (Spindle following error)
had the spindle motor and gearbox replaced, and now it sounds nice (with the new motor & gearbox).
Has anybody else had simular problems with 50 taper VF3's ??
Do you also run a warm up program ?
Again the problem was with the Motor/Gearbox NOT the Spindle Cartridge.....
