  1. Dear Friends, In a computer of a customer of us, the Manual Entry simply do not work. We can use all options to access the command and the Mastercam does nothing, simply ignore it. Does anybody experienced that already?
  2. Dear Friends, This is an almost phylosofic question... The "Spindle Rotation" figure in the "Lathe Tool Setup" window shows two spindles: One "CCW" and other one "CW". I learn at university and used all my life the following concept: To understand the spindle rotation direction, I had to go to rear of the machine head and imagine the spindle rotation from there. The figure shows the opposite, as I was looking from the front of the machine head. The question is: The figure is showing the opposite rotation or am I wrong in my "own definition"?
  3. I´m supposing you are using a dove, a slot or a lollypop tool, and the calculation in this case is really very very slow, I think. As it is today, indeed, machining operations on negative angles takes much too time to be calculated. I´m sure Mastercam must improve the calculation method to get faster results.
  4. I suggest you contact your local Mastercam Dealer. There is a lot of material already: Power Point presentations, examples and much more...
  5. Friends, We tried to use a kind of bull mill (48.5 mm diameter, but with 75 mm nose radius). As there no options to define it as a bull mill we defined this tool as a customized one. With this geometric configuration, we think as we can use bigger "max.stepover" values we´ll save a lot of machining time with good results in terms of smooth machined surfaces. However, Mastercam do not recognize the nose radius nor the tool profile, even it is a customized one. The only available option is to use a corner radius (in customized tool size parameters), that do not work as we need (for instance, the tool do not touch the surface as this one becomes more vertical...) Have anybody got this experience before?
  6. Yes, you are right about the version. Is a customer that is using V9 yet. About the first "past thread": Their parameters didn´t work in my XP. The second one brought a simple but great idea: Activate a dialog box that takes off the Windows´s focus on the Mastercam. Soon this customer will be using X, and this problem will be solved. Thank you for your quick and precise response. And please apologize me not to find a past response. Regards.
  7. Friends, We are using a Pentium IV HT 3.04 Ghz, with 512Mb and Windows XP. There are three coolers, monitored by a Intel D865PERL Motherboard. When starting Mastercam, the "Performance indicator" in the Window´s Task Manager shows that CPU use goes up to 100% and keep this way while using MC. The problem is: Due that, the processor is becoming hot (68 Celsius degrees), and the system "falls". We are in Winter here (temperature average 20 degrees celsius), so there is no environment temperature interference. Somebody has experienced this already?
  8. Hello, everybody!!! Do anybody already had the experience in put two USB SIM at the same time? In the past time, two parallel SIM make a big mess in the SIM programing, in general damaging both SIMS.
  9. Dear Steve, Thank you for your response… I am using 2000Pro. I tried using CNCReg as you recommend me. It returned an error message: "Bad RC from DllRegisterServer" and then… “Error registering” Have you got any idea about what´s happening? Regards.
  10. I have a similar problem we could not solve, yet. I had tried install Mastercam MR0304 in my computer, and the followed error message appeared: "The following files did not self-register ou unregister: 1. c:mcam9commonPSLDDATASwDocumentMgr.dll The especified module could not be found". As you mentioned, I moved the SwDocumentMgr.dll and Implode.dll to the "apps" folder. After that, ran the "regsvr32 c:mcam9appsswdocumentmgr.dll" command in the "Run" dialog. Windows shown a new error Message: "DllRegisterServer in C:Mcam9AppsSWDocumentMGR.dll failed. Return code was: 0x8007007e. In this computer, we could not import Solidworks files anymore, no matter if we ran any patch released by Mastercam. Have you got any idea about how to solve this? It is becoming a HUGE problem for us. Thanks in advance.
  11. Thanks, Pooh. This C-hook had worked perfectly.
  12. Dear Forum Friends, I would like to convert a STL model to surfaces. Some time ago, I remember to hear about a C-hook that do that. Can anyone know the name and supplier of this C-hook? Regards,
  13. For everybody to understand my question: A customer of ours receive Gerber (lots of) files from their customer, convert them in a PCGerber software (I had never heard about it before this), convert the geometries creating all points of the geometry (endpoints, circles, etc. - It can´t convert even in DXF), read those points in Mastercam with ASCII convertion, create all lines and circles again (it´s a crazy thing, they make electronic boards) and then machine the part with Wire. It´s a nonsense to do this way, don´t you agree?
  14. Has somebody ever converted Gerber files to use in Mastercam?
