untrimming

How can you trim surfaces that you have to untrim to exstend the surface that you are working with.

You must first have some type of geometry to trim it to. Then use modify-trim-surface. You can then choose curves,planes,surfaces,etc.

i think from reading this you want to extend your surface out along the edges to cut off your part right???if so first pick untrim and pick surface and then the edges to untrim thed pick extend surface and extend them a gived distance like.100 this will alow you to cut off the edges of the part i hope thats what your thinking ???

Steve another thought with this would be to Create a edge curve from the surface before untrimming or unblanking the main surface to have a begenning curve to work with.
