How to cut a 20 deg. angle using front view?

Hello Group,

 

I teach a secondary machine shop program in Ms.

I am trying to create different types of machining projects for this coming year.

Presently, I am creating a part for a civil war cannon.

I am using ver8.1.

I want to cut a 20 degree angle on a part using the front view. The part is 4.5" long, 1.813" in height and .375 thick.

I know how to machine the part using the top view and the contour toolpath.

Is there a way to cut the angle by drawing the part in 3D and using isometic view?

Creating Geometry from the front view or machining it from the front view?

If you can build a 3d body,you can machine it at any view.
