update codes don't work

new motherboard and more memory on my computer. try to reinstall Mcam with discs and hasp with update codes. these are the messages I get. What to do?????

Are you using a NetHasp or USB/Parallel hasp?

 

You have the HaspX utility open, yet you seem to be trying to check out a license on a Nethasp.

 

Try opening up the NHASP.exe and selection local instead of network if you are using a local hardlock.

 

Also, if you are trying to update a Nethasp, that MUST be done locally at the server and not across a network.

Should I uninstall X altogether and reinstall? I have done all this once before and doesn't work. Is there someplace for STEP by STEP instructions. This shouldn't be so difficult.

Like JParis suggests, open up NHaspX.EXE (found in the same folder as Mastercam.EXE) and let us know what the settings at the top of the dialog are. Does it say that "Hasp" is set, or "NetHasp"?

 

Based on your SIM # and the results of HaspX that you posted, I'd guess that this is indeed a "Hasp" (and that it's purple, not red) and not a "NetHasp".

 

I can't think of any other way you'd get a "Nethasp error".
