The latest SolidWorks is SW2003.

By default is exports a Version 14 parasolid,

Mastercam V9SP1 reads V13 parasolids.

When you export a parasolid from SW, click on the

Options Tab in the File/Save box.

Choose V13 for export.

That should fix your problem

Edit: At this time I don't think Mastercam V9SP1 can open an SW2003 sldprt file because of the

V14 parasolid issue. To export a SW file to Mastercam you have to export as a parasolid V13.

I like exporting as a parasolid better anyway. You can create a SW Coordinate System that orients the part to your Mastercam WCS.

When you export the parasolid you choose that Cooridnate System. When you open the file in Mastercam, it is already aligned with your MC WCS Very cool!!! biggrin.gif
